So, how'd the electronics work out? I've been on the fence about doing a Hemi swap on my '98 R/T but the electronics are killing it so far...

So when I started the project, I thought I would tackle the wiring myself with the help from a buddy who is big into wiring. He looked at the project and studied it and basically said hell no haha. I decided to bite the bullet and just send the harness to hotwire and have them build me one. Sure it cost like $1800 but when I plugged it in..... It fired up and every gauge worked. It was worth the cost to have that be easy.

I've e-mailed Chris and he basically told me everything would work except cruise, so that seems like the only option at this point...

I'm running the factory 05 ram manifolds but I think Schumacher Creative Services makes headers. I don't think they are cheap tho. Like $900 or something like that.
Are they still open? I emailed them a couple months ago and never got a reply, their web showed nothing in stock either. Can't see buying from someone who won't stock parts or answer e-mails.

I always called and they they answered every time. I even ordered the motor mounts from them but found out they didn't work with my application and took the old ones back months later and refunded me. Super nice people.

I know this is an old thread, but to shed some light onto the cooling issue, there is a plug on the water pump for the 5.7's that needs to be open while you are running the engine. Once you open that plug up, you can fill the motor with coolant until it sprays out slightly. After that happens, shut the engine off, and reseal the plug this is how you purge the systems on modern hemis. I've had to learn this the hard way when doing a cam swap on my Challenger. Great write up, you gave me the motivation to finally finish up my hemi swap in my 02 QC 5spd.
