For the rear shocks will it matter if the shocks are mounted upside down? I just installed belltech lowering leaf springs and I have dual exhaust that gets in the way of one of the shocks if the shock is mounted with the gas chamber at the bottom. If I remove the dust cover on the shock there will be no contact with the exhaust when mounted upside down.

Seems to me like it should work, what do you guys think? The shocks are belltech street performance. If they cant be upside down I will have to cut one of my pipes off and have a shop put on a new pipe. The mounting brackets for the shocks are both the same so the shock can be bolted in either way.

It can mount either way, however, shocks are meant to work with the piston upright. (rod upright)

I guess it would be best if I contacted belltech on Monday; although I don't really see where it would matter how they were mounted. The shock will still compress and expand the same either way. They aren't cheap shocks and I really don't want to screw tham up.

Thanks for the quick reply dudes!
