So I was finally able to check my actual mileage for the first time in a good while. The overhead read out 14.4mpg, but miles drive/gallons to fill gave me ~15 :woot: :woot:. After the weather gets real warm, and I add a few more mods I would not be surprised to see 17 :banana2:

I`m able to pull 20-21 mpg on the hwy, at 60mph i`m turning round 1600 rpm ,the new 285/50/20`s give me better mpg than my old 275/60/17`s ever did
Are you taking into account for the different tire sizes and it's effect on the displayed mileage??

And 170 miles drive with my truck on Sunday netted me 15.3mpg. And that's with 4.10 gears, and cruising at 80mph for about 20 miles, then ~70 for most of the rest of it.

Tire size has been reprogrammed into computer ,,,,,,, so all is a true , speedo reading i check`d my speed to my GPS speed and both are the same ,,,,plus i`m friends with most of the police force ....lol and got them to clock me when i redid computer with tire spec`s anf i put my 3.92`s back in ,,,was running 4.56 front and rear ...wow do they wake up the beast with that ratio

The people reporting significant highway mileage must not have many hills, especially those with 3.55 gears. The highways around me (77 from Canton to upper Akron in Ohio for the most part) are nothing but up and down and force me to shift into 4th alot.

Correct, mostly. My best mileage does come from flat runs but even with 14-15mpg in the mountains it almost never comes out of overdrive and I'm still running 3.55s with stock tires...

It used to come out of overdrive but after the headers were installed it stopped, even with the rest of the exhaust being stock.

i live in a mountain area ,,, and even up and down the passes going to my daughters place over 350 miles away i can get there using only half a tank going 100-110kph ( 60-70 mph ) my gearing is aburn`s lockers.... 3.92`s

20mpg for a 22gallon tank = 440 miles per tank. 350/440 = 80%. That trip would leave you with less than a quarter of a tank. Your numbers DO NOT add up.

25 gallon tank ...i know of no durango`s with 22 gallon tanks ,,,plus a canadian gallon is more than a american gallon .go figure but it is, so if i go 350 mile on half tank where do yu get your figures, with new motor in i`m not sure mileage now i`m going to have to refigure
