Ok i saw ur post :biggthump Mine doesnt have an electric fan for the condensor. But im gonna get an electric fan to replace the clutch fan.

ive got an e-fan for sale if ya interested. by taking out ur clutch fan you can tell a lil difference and also the gas if ya can keep ur foot out of it. $40 + shipping, only parts ya gonna need is fuse holder, adjustable temp control sensor, and brackets unless you wanna put plastic screws through your raditor, its a 16" flex-a-lite e-fan 11.3 amp draw.

this is like one of my oldest threads ive ever started...not really, but i already got the AC out and got a new belt already in place. The retards at Autozone were sayin something about replacing it with an idler pully, i was like umm no, itll be the same configuration as a truck that originally had no AC, just the bracket is different so the belt is longer. I ended up using a 91 3/8 i think

Your defroster isn't going to work as well if you pull your a/c system out. The condensor draws the moisture out of the air making the defroster work like a champ. It'll still work w/o it just not even close to how well it would w/ it. Just a thought.

A bit late, I'm sure, but my '90 Dakota has the worst belt setup I've ever seen. I want to retain the PS, water pump, and alt, but can't seem to drive then without the AC, or Smog. The belt that would drive the Alt looks like it would contact the bottom of the water pump.I could space it out 3/4"??? maybe or bend the bracket?? The PS pump is non functional for the moment (leaks too fast to be worth filling though it spins freely), but that seems to be the only way to drive the water pump if I run the alt belt under it. Can anyone help with this V-belt problem???

I did mine about 6 months ago. I went to Pepboys and got a Dynaflex , Part # 895K7 belt for mine.

The length is 89.5 inches if you feel the need to run a different brand of Belt!

BTW it is alot easier if you disconnect your upper radiator hose. It can squeeze underneath it but its really tight. Good Luck!
Your size was to short. I used 905K7 which works perfectly.
