Before i die i will have a GTS Viper... i dont care if im on my death bed, ill rip the cords out sell my kids and wife, and buy me a viper gts... lmfao!
Well to be honest with all the deals around for cars already upgraded, you're MUCH better off getting one already built vs's going cheaper for stock THEN trying to upgrade it.
I'm not going to lie, Vipers are fun cars BUT you get used to the stock power pretty quick and a month later you're looking for upgrades. Saving the extra $$$ to get one off the bat is the way to go because you simply adjust the boost levels as your learning curve increases with seat time.
I remember the first time I drove around a friends built up DLM supercharged GTS then went back to drivng my bolt on Durango. Man alive my foot was ALWAYS to the floor trying to duplicate the feel of the Viper and of course not coming close. :D
And turbo Vipers are something else completely, they'll pull your cheeks around the back side of your head with enough boost on tap. :jester:

O i believe it...

probably about 4 or 5 years ago i ran across a 99 rt10 viper online. they wanted 14k for it, mint condition it said, and only 12k miles, always garage kept, never driven in rain, only a weekend car. i couldnt believe it and thought surely it had been wrecked or something. so i got in touch with the seller and got the vin, ran a check on it, came back clean and all the details were accurate. turns out it was the wife's car that the rich husband was trying to get back in a divorce. the car was over 1000 miles away from me in upstate new york, but i told her if she could hold it for a week i'd fly up there cash in hand. well, she said she would try but if anyone else had the cash she was selling. so 2 days later she emailed me to tell me it had sold locally. but yea, she sold it right out from under the husband to keep him from getting it. told me in the emails and on the phone that he had ran off with his mistress and leaving his wife for her and she wanted to sell it to piss him off since he bought it but registered it in her name, plus she didnt want him getting anything back. i swear, if i could have gotten the money in time i would have flown up there the next day. one of those once a lifetime deals i'll probably never see again :jester:.

Fixed. :D

Actually right now as we speak there's a guy on the Viper boards dealing with the same thing you described above. His ex fiance is purposely hiding his S/C Viper until the split so she can sell it off. He's already heard talk from mutual friends that she indeed is holding the car with intent to sell to "get back at him".
I'm not going to lie, situations like this that make me understand why people consult hired killers.;)

Yep, courts and Women = men fucked...

I hate that shit. If a X wife sold my shit from under me i would probably burn down her house to get back at her with all the "shit" she just won in court now ashes. Then cum on her face and run away

chris, there are quite a few 1100-1500RWhp vipers running around the plano, richardson area. One graphite with stripes on ccw's, the guy is running 1500 on low boost, and 1800 on high boost. George bush and coit on friday night, you will see some exotic high end highway races go down!

I take it you're talking about Ricky's GTS thats a built motor car with a pair of T4-78's and the 4in exhaust. 1500 I'd believe but 1800 on that current set up not so much unless is was an all out high boost/C16 dyno run but even thats stretching in for the 78's as far as rwhp goes. At the crank no problem since 1700 at the wheels is close to 2K at the crank depending on driveline loss.

This was the car when Jerry had it, driven by Gary J:

One fellow had a full nitrous motor in his viper, it was red, and his user name is junkie he had a direct port nitrous manifold on a black ctsv before the viper, which he has no gone to TT, I am not sure on any of the specs. The other guy, who is around 5 feet tall with the 1500-1800 hp TT, his is the charcoal color with dark green stripes, he had a fully built corvette before the viper. I don't know his "user" name or actual name.

Cant say I know who those people are to be honest. Though its funny your bring up the nitrous cars because back in the late 90's and early 00's thats what the majority of the "fast" Vipers were... big camed/N20 cars or had Roe blowers later on. Though in 99 SVS did have a TT Viper but not much quality tuning for it back in those days.

As an update on the bule TT GTS on the first page... he's willing to take 55K for it.
Someone jump on this... :drive:
