ok, so I'm thinking of getting some HID's. for the fogs and headlights. I'm thinking 6 or 8k for the headlights. and don't know about the fog lights (5 or 6k). any input?.... i would kind of like it all to match the halos in the sabersports...

also, getting LED tailights, so my smoked tails may be for sale?

i have had 8k and 6k and i like both of them. just go with the ones that you want.

thanks guys... i kinda like the blue, so im thinking about going with the 8k's up top... for the fogs, i dont know. maybe 3? but im kind tired of the yellow, so i may just keep them the same, 8K? all around?

I really dislike mismatched lights. I would go with 8K everywhere.
ya me 2... but i figure it was a subtle difference.. but seeing as how i hate that my fogs are yellow as can be, and my halo's are blue-ish... its not working.. thinking 6 or 8k's all round

Matching lights look pretty good, I had 6000k all around on mine and it looked sweet. I'm not usually a fan of mismatched lights, but the yellow HIDs are different from the regular yellow light you are used to seeing. I've seen them on some high end imports and it looks nice!

Why are you going to be an asshole and put HIDs in a non-projector housing?

Um, yeah it does, it's the reason why NHTSA banned aftermarket HID's form non-equipped HID vehicles. Your going to put out a lot more light than the halogens but it will not emit the proper light pattern, which means possibly blinding oncoming traffic.
If the cops in your area have been anal about the small things like this, then try and get HID housings then. But, so far by me, the popo considers illegal HID's a waste of time to enforce, I have yet to see or hear about anyone in the area get pulled over for having HID's on a vehicle that did not have them available.

thanks for the info... i havent heard of anyone getting pulled over for this... but then again the cops dont seem to care about window tint or small stuff like this

I am not saying how much of an issue it really is or not. (There are a few who indicate it is a issue) An incandescent lens and housing is not designed to to properlyfocus/disperse a HID light source. Some sock housings will cause a lot of glare to other drivers and can really pose a risk of blinding people. Again, I cannot say how bad the stock or aftermarket Dak/Durango housings are.

There's a couple people by me that have done it, and I always seem to find myself crossing paths with them. I will tell you it is fucking obnoxious. To the point where I almost want to swerve into them and claim that I was blinded by their headlights.

You CAN NOT put HIDs into a non-projector housing. Period. To hell with the cops and possible tickets, consider it road courtesy. It's like driving around with your high beams on all the time, only brighter.

I had a cop ask me what kind of bulbs I had in there because he liked them so much. I've never had anyone flash me, they really aren't much brighter than stock. I see way worse halogens everyday.

Dont listen to the nay sayers, they are just the uptight fuckers who are pissed off at the world. The head lights you own have a very nice cutoff and will not glare or blind oncoming traffic. These guys probably saw a civic with poorly aimed lights in a hazy housing once and are now carrying a grudge because they are easily distracted by shiny objects like tinfoil and glitter. Not only will it look nice from in the cab it will be fine on the road for others. Just make sure you aim them. Oh, and post pics.

Ya know, you really have a lot of tact to the way you address things. Make many friends?
