What have you done to your truck today?

Paint

Took off the painted plastic covers that clip on over the steel bumper and dropped them off to be repainted for about the 3rd or 4th time. The rest of the truck has a scratch or two here and there but nothing bad enough that it's worth respraying. But this is pretty much the only area where I can yank the pieces off myself in 10 minutes and get them repainted in a day or two for 100 bucks or less. Since it's so cheap and easy and this is the one area of the truck that for some reason seems to get banged up on such a regular basis I hold the line with them and try to get them resprayed when the chips and scratches accumulate.

Other than that I don't use it for my daily commute anymore and there isn't much more I want to do to it so I stare at it and occasionally take it out for 5-10 minutes in the evenings to run errands. Im done buying really big toys for it and mainly try to concentrate on fixing whatever little things come up that don't take too much time or money such as the bumper covers.

The project for tomorrow is to track down a really irritating rattle that comes from somewhere in the backseat area when the sub hits hard or even when the exhaust resonates in the cab on hard accelaration.

Being that it's a weekday I haven't done too much. Got some new windshield wiper blades, tried to get new chrome bumper bolts (without success), put my windshield wipers back on, measured ride height. It's .5 inches higher in the front than the back :hammer:

Now I need to decide whether to drop the front or raise the back :huh:

i installed a 3 gauge, gauge pod.

Why did I take the full coverage off of my truck last month??? this week it would be totaled.

Then what I did was ...................REPLACE IT!

Today? Drove it. and priced out (more) parts. Yesterday? My new (engine Quest---"EQ" heads) arrived, went to a friend's house to grind the valves that are going into it, and the motor burnt out with ~3 valves to go.

welll.... drove from work to the rescue squad, then home, then back to work.. then leavin work to go home... lol

hopefully tomorrow i can change the oil and get my club cab side rear window panels back in and clean her up real nice like.

i also priced out new bushings for the drop i'ma do soon... priced out lower pro tires... you know... the fun stuff lol
