I need towing mirrors on my 97 Dakota, I dont want the strap on mirrors
has anyone done mods for the mirrors to fit on the Dakota like the 1500 and up dodge trucks

People put the "dumbo" Mirrors on the dakota, from the ram 1500 (95-01) I dont see why Ram Tow mirrors from ebay for the same years wouldnt fit. You can find a couple on cardomain that have it done..

^ that was a fairly easy search... There a little big, But on a Lifted Dakota It would be Pretty Bad ass. I like the look, If they also get used.

Does anybody know if mopar ever made the 6x9 dakota mirrors in non power with the joystick (for lack of a better term) adjuster for the 97-04 dakotas? I have the sport 5x7s that are only adjustable by sticking your hand out the window and moving the glass and they're a little small for when I tow my trailer.

Even if not, those are exactly what I wanted to install on mine... I don't care if I can't find a set of powered and heated mirrors, I'm installing those on mine. I hate the stupid stock Mirrors.

Yes these bolt right on, they are the towing mirrors off of the rams.
Dakota's used the dumbo mirrors, which were also the standard mirror on rams after 98, hence the same bolt locations and why I say these will fit no problemo.

I have read the ones of ebay some times you have to "oval out" A hole or so for them to fit. But they should be 99% bolt on. Just search ebay 94-01 Dodge Ram Tow Mirrors. I think for both sides its about $135

I always thought they'd fit but everybody told me they wouldn't. Good to know. I'd like to see them not folded out.

That style is always "long" it does not adjust in or out. those are alot more $. But the mirror part flips up and lays down. A search on the interwebs for tow mirrors for any full size you will see pictures of them in both positions.

We tried the small 4x6 mirrors on a friends 99 ram years ago. They would NOT bolt on.

What year Dakota? alot of people here have swapped ram dumbo mirrors in place of there sport mirrors with out mods to bolt them on. IIRC The connector for power/heat had to be redone. 97-04 Dakota 94-01 ram mirrors should be the same.

I have a 2000. All doors 97-04 are the same besides quad cabs. Nothing changed over the years.

Those ram style mirrors are stock 6x9 Dakota mirrors.

How do I know?
My truck came with them and I swapped smaller non folding ones on it.

Those are whoring posts. I just knew they ere different as my friend wanted the small mirrors on his ram so we tried it and did t work..
