ok, so i'm driving into Atlanta on interstate 20 after the race in Talladega and i get nailed for 84 in a 65. I called the court house today and they tell me it's $164.50. Not to bad but still. So anyways, the cop asked me why i was driving so fast and I told him "I place the blame squarely on the state of Georgia". He looks at me funny and says excuse me? and I tell him if they didn't keep the road so smooth I would have known I was speeding cause up north there are so many potholes you can't go that fast without bouncing off the road or breaking something on your truck. He laughed and said he had been up here and knew what I meant and said "have a safe trip", then handed me the ticket.
Not really bitchin cause I was speeding, I'm just glad he got me when I was slowing down and not when I had the cruise set at 90.:woot:

hahaha still a good story! haha you knew you were speeding, and were even able to make the cop laugh, which is ALWAYS better than telling him "my speedometer doesn't work" or just telling him you didnt know haha

shit if it was after a race and I got stopped... I would have told the cop "Sorry, I was just trying to catch the leader and get my lap back"

My thoughts exactly. Does not mean that you can't fight it though. If you do not have a class a liscence you can even do traffic school online and it won't go on your record. Good luck whatever you do.
