Seems like a few people are switching to turbos lately. Hell my blown 408 setup is nowhere near done and Ive already been thinking about switching to turbo one day. :jester:

How much boost are you going to run? HP goals?
I'll take the 408 if you give it up for some reason in the process! :funny:

i thought you were going to run solid engine mounts? isn't the turbo a little close to the inner fender?
Well that was the idea. But can always fab those up later and install them.

I do have a tq bar on the driver side going from frame to the ear of the LA mounting point on the block.
We'll see.
 
some nice work i cant wait for the videos of this thing.
 
im sure the new sound is just the new heads.

Crappy cell phone pic..I had more but once I loaded them to the puter they looked like crapola.

I have PS once again..

The stock bracket was machined down the width of the new mounting plate, it was welded to the back of the stock mount and BAM, Power steering once again. The PS sits up about 4" higher than the stock location. Only had to lengthen the return line.


And as soon as it was all put back together we realized the the PS pump was leaking..so it all came back off and I got a new one put back in the new mount!

Tracy got the belt, not sure what length it is, but a NON A/C belt wont work.

So all thats left is a new lower rad hose, and the rest of the plumbing for the turbo.
