Gotta whack it harder...nothing special to it really. Get a heavy sledge and hit it, it'll come off.

 

When I worked at Jiffy Lube we would just kick them until they fell off.

If that doesn't work I've heard of this method but never tried it. Loosen the lug nuts a little bit, until they are just barely tight. Slowly drive the truck forward, then slam on the brakes. Slowly drive the truck backwards, then slam on the brakes. Repeat. If it doesn’t work, you can loosen the lug nuts a little more and try it with a little more speed, but don't get carried away or you'll probably break something.

I usually have a hard time getting mine off as well. For years (not just on the Durango) I have done this without any problems. I loosen the lug nuts a turn or so and then, as Silver said, drive it. But I just go slowly (I said slowly) up and down a curb a few times and pull it back in the garage. Jack it and they come right off.

 

Its normal. The rears on my Dakota were like that when I got my new tires put on. Dunno if it was rust or mud buildup or what, but it'll come off like previously said. They put some sort of grease around the inside of my rear wheels when they put em back on.
