I was wondering if anyone knows of a salvage yard or someone parting out a dodge dakota within preferably like 10-hours of Crankbrook BC. I need a box, tailgate, flares, and gray cloth door panels, and a manual transfercase, and the closest I've found was in the seattle area and they want $1000.00 for a dented truck box * I didnt even bother pricing out anything else *. I found a really cheap salvage yard originally down the states, but its too far away for me to go and bring back all my parts. If anyone knows of a yard or someone that has these parts for a fair price near me that would be awesome.

you could call the one in nelson,bc by me. there is another one in salmo and one in castlegar too. i know craiglist in calgary had a tailgate for super cheap a month ago, like $60 or something. i would check around calgary too, shits cheap there.

Thanks I didnt know there was so many in the area, I was worried I was gonna have to deal with spaldings in spokane. They carry good stuff but it would be hell to bring back across to Canada. Do you have an idea on roughly what the prices are like at these salvage yards?

i have no idea of prices, i can call around on monday or tuesday for you. i need a tailgate too. i can check calgary on the 27th, i drive through cranbrook on my way there and back.

I dont actually live in cranbrook, I just used it as a landmark to go from in my search for parts. I live in creston, but seeing as the population here is just shy of like 5000 people I wasnt sure if anyone knew where it was lol. If you could check for me that would be awesome and just lemme know via pm or on here.

for sure, creston is on my way too. ever heard of slocan park? front yard is the river and the mountain is the backyard. i'm building my house out here now, lived in calgary for 12 years just moved back. i'll see what i can find for you.

If you could find me something that would be awesome. I'm only 16 so I am juggling between work and school and fixing up my truck. If you could find me something though I am going up to Calgary soon to help a family friend bring his car to Creston and if its anywhere near you maybe I can make a trip up their and visit my Auntie and cousin.

i found you a tailgate in calgary, carlos 403-516-0172 he says its dark grey and he wants $80. call him up and ask if he'll throw it on the bus for you.

kijiji calgary, auto parts section then type dakota, lots of stuff there. i buy alot of stuff off kijiji its pretty easy

Thanks for this, it could very well take me a month or two in order to have the money for these things. My wallet was at my house along with a check stored safely in my dresser and my wallet went missing along with like $800.00+ plus in cash and checks. The good thing is I know who stole it and being that the cops in my town are useless I'm going to get my wallet back I just doubt I will get my money back.
