ok so i think im ready for nitrous. im wanna do a 100 shot nitrous express kit. is the basic kit all i need or do i need a bottle heater or anything else. also is there anyway to test it once its hooked up? my fear of nitrous was always that when i hit it the first time its gonna blow.... haha i guess i just wanna make sure im ready for it. i believe my motor should be good to go. do i need a better fuel pump? if ive read correctly i dont need a different tune for a 100 shot. i can run the same timing. is this correct?

well i have a 408 with all the bells n whistles so im sure im pushing the limits of the stock fuel pump, but maybe not. im hoping someone on here has a 408 they are sprayin with the stock fuel pump

Yeh I would throw a fuel pump in there, wet nitrous kits hit the fuel rail hard. I'm sure there are a lot of trucks on here that have nasty leans spikes on activation if you datalogged them fast enough.

yea stock minus the injectors

a1000, with a 10/100 micron filter, in a 16 gal fuel cell, with 10an feed lines, and 6-8 an return lines. Fuel and fittings, is one expensive avenue to drive down.. Pump/filters/fittings is a good $800.

Brazing on fittings to the stock fuel rails I can't tell you a price, fuel lines, look up 10 feet of each fuel line, a fuel gauge sender for the stock ohm rating, another $120, the cell, $100-200 depending on new/used, where you find it. Also a fpr, fuel pressure regulator, another $150. With your power rating, a reliable fuel supply, it's important, but it isn't cheap. I'm sure there is a cheaper route, this is just what I know.
