My great-grandfather, Solomon Hauskama, was born in Peraseinajoki,Finland. Know where that is?

Sorry for delay Montana Dodge, it's not raining anymore, so i was baling straw :banana2:

I'll check Pentheikki also, there is no living any with that name on 1964 or later.
I can't tell anything what you could't find with google search with
http://translate.google.com/translate_t# and http://maps.google.com/maps
, like you can see where is http://www.peraseinajoki.fi and Pentheikki is also village or town, but in Sweden near Nikkala.
Pentti and Heikki are typical men's firstnames in here, but it's first time when i see that kind of "union".
http://www.tornio.fi is also town in near borderline Finlands side.
Neder-TorneĂĄ was swedish name for smaller town called Alatornio, but that town is now just part of Tornio.

Cool, thanks for the info. I've looked a bunch of stuff up on google and Yahoo Maps, also. But the info from you is even better. I know my mother's cousin went to Finland last summer and found some of our relatives. But I'm not sure of the town. I will find out.

welcome to the site! some really nice work...
also glad to see perspactive from other parts of the world. but not all finnish women have short legs and wide bottoms, I knew a girl in the exchange student program, a long time ago, who was tall and well built! can't remember her name or where she was from though,

keep up the nice work and be sure to post any new pics so we can admire, and drool over those rods...:drive:

Great looking rides. You obviously have huge great love for mopars in general along with other makes too which is perfectly fine as long as they are COOL cars like a Shelby Mustang GT500 (DROOL!!) lol As for the 3.9L and pcm you need to get it flashed. Thats what i have heard in the past. Also, you might want to do some work on that 3.9 before you drop it in like port polish the intake manifold, larger throttle body (stock is 48mm most guys will bore it out or buy a new one thats 50mm), cam, exaust (which if done right the 3.9L can have a mean sound to it under easy acceleration, still dont compare to a V8 though) theres alot more that can be done as well. Good luck with the biuld up and definately keep the photos coming!

Seems to be a little quiet on the computer forum, but how do you guys see this idea.

Since the Dakota engine goes into veteran car, and PCM only needs to manage running the motor, I could utilise engine harness + PCM for example from same era RAM 1500 3.9L also? My opinion is, that the engine just can't tell the difference, nor does the PCM know in what hole the motor is sitting right?

I'm trying to widen my choices for engine management. I did compare engine wiring schematics between 98 Dakota and 98 Ram 1500 truck, and the only difference I found is upstream and downstream O2 connectors. They are crossed, but that's not a biggie.

Does anyone agree my logic here?

I can't see any problem with it myself. I'd forge ahead!

Thanks Grape for the c o r r e c t opinion:jester: I'll widen my scope with hunting the goodies. And I'm going with 5 speed manual instead of 42RE. Less computer related hassle, mechanical things with linkage or so are easier to tackle

All real hot rods have 3 pedals anyway, right? :drive:

As for the PCM, I would try to get one from a manual transmission, or if it's an auto, perhaps an earlier model. I believe the later model auto PCM's will want to see transmission sensors, otherwise it may throw itself into limp mode.

A buddy of mine had a 6 speed conversion on his '00 R/T and it would hit a rev limiter @ 4,000 rpms, because it thought it was in neutral. He managed to get that worked out with wiring a momentary switch into the circuit, which had to be depressed on start-up.
