Just joined.
Just picked up a '03 Durango, 4.7L. 2WD
Started, but missed bad, and warmed up in a hurry.
Did a compression test. #1 and #8 dead as a doornail.
Pulled heads. Dropped exhaust valve seat on #1 and #8.
Had heads fixed, had to shave them .008 to get them flat.
Replaced water pump, thermostat, fan clutch, and radiator.
Runs like a top now.
Looking for a place to learn about these things.
My other truck is a '99 Superduty extended cab, long bed dually. 7.3L Dinosaur that is just north of 500 RWHP.
Mileage sucks in this little truck, my dually gets a little better at almost twice the weight.
