so my mom was looking for a dodge that got better MPG than her 4X4 durango and ended up with a 2012 charger with the new 3.6L and the 8 speed tranny. she loves it a lot and on the dash it says she is getting 30 mpg.

Hah, 300hp and a transmission that has proper ratios, I'd take the v6 over the hemi. At least until they come out with a new trans for it.

Yeah 300hp and gears it is quick. And great mpg. I like the new rams as well.
Funny you say, we just came back from town and drove through the dealer on the way. The ONLY Charger they have is one of those Mopar editions, very slick looking. #12__ something...

the dealer i work at has one and it is now the only chager on the lot and it is #11-- and my parnents would have got it if it wasnt $42k they paided $24 for the one they have

V6 that makes more power than our V8's, and gets double the mileage....
I'd still take it.
My buddy got one as a rental from a vacation trip, and he loved it.

If I landed some money to buy something new it would definitely be the new body style charger. Mine would have to be the orange color fully loaded with fog lights and spoiler.
Don't under estimate these newer V6 engines of today. Most of the new V6s are putting down close to double the HP a 3.9L V6 does. At least the chargers are still RWD.
