Want to lower my r/t and have a few questions. First is the front end lowered by our springs or the shocks. I want an overall 3/4 drop. I'm doing 3" block in the rear. How to do front and how many inch drop spring. Also I seen these "spring compressor" kit things that lower two inches. How are they. Thanks

Lol yea and how much will that run me

If you drive the truck daily do it the right way or regret it later.

What do you think about suspensionmaxx spring/block kit

DO NOT use those spring clamps. Do it the right way and you'll be safer in the long run.

If you dont know if the spring or the shock lowers the truck you might want to have a shop do the work for you. So you should be getting prices from them.
might want to at least talk to a local shop so that if you need help fast you know where you can go.

Well id imagine if I built my motor I can do springs.

If on not mistaken shocks have different compression rates.

lol...... anyway stay away from the spring clamps dont booger up your R/T.

I think you would be good with blocks in the rear and drop coils in the front.
That would be the cheapest way to go but I dont know if you will be able to go 3/4 like you are wanting. and maybe someone else will answer this but I think you will have to replace shocks if you drop 3/4 also.

My suggestion would be to not have to go 3/4 drop. But set your goal around how much money you have to spend and settle for the drop that the $$ you are wanting to spend will get you. good luck

Yea a 3/4 on a budget will be a crap ride.

Yeah well that's what I'm saying. I hate cheap shit. Just really want to lower the truck.so the coil/block 3/4 is a no go?

3" coils are fine but you need shackles and hangers for that kind of rear drop.

Ok. Shocks then too right? How would that compare to 2" spindles and a 1" spring.

Yea you'll need shocks too for anything over 2" IMO. Depends on which brand control arms you use. I'd go with 3" coils before 2" DJM arms and a 1" coil. Now if you can find Western Chassis control arms go with those but they'll cost you.

Thinking 3" coils with nitto 2 shocks and a 3" block until I can afford shackles.
