ok, so i've installed plenty of suspensions. i've slammed a mazdaspeed protege, and slammed a jetta 1.8T, never raised anything.

if there is a guide for this please direct me to it and delete this thread by all means.

here is my newbish question (applies flame retardant materials, suit, and ky jelly hehe)

for 2wd (since we dont' have the option for T-bar lifting) is there any way to mildly lift suspention? i would like a decent amount of lift and when i put this together n my head it makes logical sense, tell me if i'm wrong

-3" bl
-2" something in front (coil spacers? don't know what they are, i would imagine something you add to the spring to make it taller)
-1.5" add a leaf in back

this should give me a decent lift and also illiminate about .5" of rake, i think this setup would look nice with some 265/75/16's as i'm here in FL and there aren't too many rocks to climb.

now comes the part where you all tell me why i'm stupid :)

ur 30's will look kinda tiny under that lift.. buttt it wont be too bad..

for the bodylift hit up REBEL13 he has a How to on his website.. for the add a leaf.. and Ts lift ( the front) hit him up again.. he has a how to on his website..

cheers

Ts? is that the tortion thing? i thought you could only do that on 4x4? yeah i plan on doing the BL myself, no big deal, but i want to know if i can add additional lift with coils and adding a leaf? i'm guessing by your reply that this is actually possible?

and no 30's i'll be going with a 265/75 which amounts to approx 31.5 eventually i'll go with 33's but for now i don't think the 265/75's will look too bad considering my stock 255/70's are decent size now.

it's just with all the lurking aroudn the forums i've been doing it seems i haven't seen anyone with this combination of mods. it seems i only see either "bl only" or like 5.5 inch suspension lifts plus the BL.

ok great now i have more noob questoins. i'm gonna search this right now as i'm done typing this

-what's a ball joint flip?

*EDIT* after searching i have somewhat of an idea, when i actually do my lift i'll find instructions on how to do this. for now it's not very relevant.

-if i use the spacers or springs, do i need new longer control arms or is it just recommended? if so, HOW recommended? it doesn't say its required under either of those things on the site so i'm just wondering what the disadvantages to not having them are.

-as far as the rears how will add a leaf vs. shackles effect the car?

The master is here :jester:

you can either do 2" lift coils or coil spacers, they will do the same thing. If you want 3", you will have to have lifted a-arms and new rims or spacers on your wheels. You have to decide what route you want to take.

Leafs versous shackles:
Shackles: Keep ride and look bad.
Add-a-leafs: look better and firmer ride.

Ball joint flip, you don't need it in either case.

What you can acomplish:
2" lift coils only- you can run those tires.
2" lift coils and 3" body lift, you can get up to 33X12.50's.
3" lift coils-arms only, 31's or that tire size with trimming.
3" lift coils-arms with body lift, 33x12.50's.

If you just want the 2" deal, I can get you hooked up really cheap with the coil spacers and add-a-leaf as a set.

i would really appreciate that, i'd definitely do that like very soon. then around christmas i could do the 3 inch body lift and i'd be looking at about 5 inches total which is exactly what i want. :mullet:

i know i don't need to flip the ball joints but doesn't it add ike 1/4 ich to the front? i would liek that cause it would cure the rake a little.

Flipping the ball joints will only allow more a-arm clearence, will not lift it! You can do it anytime though, flipping it is easy simply install it below the a-am instead of it being on top. Doing that and smaller or trimmed bump stops allow more suspension travel.

This is the fastest cheapest way for 2"-2.5" : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodg...ash=item250339371445&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72:543|65:12|39:1|240:1318
