I have the 5.9L motor. If I buy a standard K&N air filter NOT the cold intake, what kind of horsepower gains am I going to see? Are they going to be noticeable? Or for right now stick with my FRAM.
Cause they work? And if you buy a decent one, they come with heat sheilds. Even the stock airbox isn't exempt from the hot underhood temps. And it's very restrictive unless you modify it. Personally I went for looks and have a 14x3 open element with a filter lid. Yes it sucks in hot underhood air when sitting still, but with my ram air hood, once I start moving it gets a nice direct shot of outside air.Why do people spend big money for a CAI that takes in hot underhood air and replace the factory CAI?
