I have a single plane Southeast Performance Throttle body, and ever since i put it on, it hisses like no other out of the idler port. And when i put my finger over it, the engine dies lol. Anyone have this sort of problem? I have heard of people messing with their IAC to make it quieter.

I am thinking about getting a fastman if it doesn't hiss. Because its becoming really annoying.

Try setting your IAC counts.

oh wow, thanks dude. that is what that was for haha. I don't even have a set screw in there. if I put my finger over the IAC port the motor will die completely. So that tends to have me think that adjusting this will help so air can go through the planes instead of just the iac port!

the TPS won't throw a check engine code with adjusting the plane?
tho even tho

Yes.

It shouldn't. It will raise your TPS though but it should be okay.

ah cool man, so if I have an idle set at 900 by the PCM should I lower it to like 700 and
use the set screw to raise?

If the pcm is set at 900, chances are it will idle at 800 in gear. Try setting it around 750-800.

it idles at 9 in gear. and when I am comin to a stop it will shoot down to about 550-600 and once I fully stop it shoots back up to 900

Resetting the IAC counts should alleviate the drop in rpm when coming to a stop. It may take a few attempts. Ask your tuner what rpm the idle is set at and go from there.

I did, it's set at 900 lol

Then try setting it around 850 +/-.

No problem. Good luck with it.

alright, since i finally got back on here. The IAC counts fixed the hissing issue, but it threw my A/F outta whack. hemifever gave me a few tunes to help with the fuel, but nothing happened, its as if the computer is freaking out and doesn't know what to do. I loaded my original tune that would hold between 14.2-14.8 just fine, and after 500 miles it still hasn't changed :-(

I'm at 15.3-16.4 at idle and when i'm decel'in from cruising speeds it goes to unreadable (which is normal i assume) I was always told that 15's even at part throttle/cruising is like a no-no. Hemi said it was cool, just seeing what you guy's thoughts were.
