now my question is the bumper cover,i have no instructions or hardware just the cover so does this cover install on the 2001 to 2003 bumper cause it doesn't look like it will fit over my 1999 upper metal support.
and does it install like the street scene cover iv been reading a lot about them on this forum)like with the tape and screws also if i have to go with the 2001-2003 can i just use the metal support or do i also need the plastic cover?it also looks like the fog lamps on my 1999 are too low to line up with the holes in the east cost cover.
any help is very appreciated

Dimensionally exterior wise, there is no difference between the two piece and the one piece 01+ If it fits over one it will fit over all. I have the Stillen and it fit over all. Did you try it? Obvously you will have to cut the vertical bars.

(Did you contact East Cost of installation information?)

 

You should be able to mount it over the OEM bumper, but you will most likely have to cut out the vertical bars from the lower bumper area. Since you have the 2-pc 97-00 bumper, it might even be better to remove the lower half of the bumper altogether and install this over the top of the upper bumper.

Use a generous amount of 2-sided tape along the top edge of the bumper, and then tape & screw it into the wheel wells, that should be sufficient. If that bumper has provisions to bolt or tape it from the underside that would help as well.

 

yes mopar4life and dj wolf that's exactly the bumper i have!!! great to see it i was starting to think it was obsolete or something!
now as far as the fitment goes its really really tight and the first thing i noticed is that my fog lamps wont line up?They are about 3" too low? also i took off the lower cover to try to see if it will fit better and its just real tight on the metal support making it not go all the way back unless i use force which i haven't tried because i don't want to break the cover.
I was just thinking that the 2001 and up bumpers may be what i need to use?

 

east cost stopped making that bumper a while back. As far as getting a 01 up bumper that wont help. the outside dimensions are identical. I would talk to that other member to see if he can help out with your install

another quick question for you guys?
can i lower my 4x4 durango? just about 2"front and 3" rear?
my friend told me that my front suspension is adjustable due to the torsion bars and he says all i need to do is jack up the front and loosen the key bolts and it will set lower on the front then add blocks on the rear if the axle is on top the leafs or do a axle flip if the axle is under the leafs?
is all this correct?

 

Yes to loosening the torsion bars. You do not have to jack it up to do it and yes to the blocks. 2"/3" is reaching the limits. You will have to cut the front bump stops. The axle is already over the leafs.

holy crap i just noticed yours is 4x4 too all i am looking for is mine to sit like yours does.
I am going to run the r/t 17's and i want them too look good.
do i need to do a axle flip? or i think i see factory blocks in between the 2 mounts?
if they are indeed factory blocks can i just take them out?
and by the front bump stops do you mean those rubber things that the a arms hit when the suspension is bottomed out?

Do a search. There are threads on lowering a 4x4. You need to determine what size axle you have. The axle is already over the springs. There is no "factory block" Yes the round bumpstops on the A arms. At stock height, they are almost on the stops. More than likely on a 99 unless they have been replaced, they probably are falling apart. They just push in. New ones are from the dealer.

ok i found the thread but i dont really like how his blue dak looks with the r/t 17's (they still look too small and too much tire!
do you have any other side pics of your truck?
your looks very good from what i am seeing (it looks like you are running bigger than 17's)

Mine are 20's I don't remember if this was only 1" or after I lowered it another 3/4
