well as of right now im not "tuned right." even after i put the full exhaust back together i still get this flashing engine code when ever i rip it. i havent had time to go to the shop and check it and since i have a 99 i dont think it can do the cool little truck with the ignition to get the code.

i checked on summit and used a n02 calculator dealy thing and i got the right sizes for the hp ratings. i used 50psi fuel pessure with 500psi in the bottle, think those are reasonable? they gave me the sizes but i dont remember what they were. id install the kit but like i said i know ill get fed up and do a half ass job. but ill get it done soon enough.

Bottle pressure should be at 1050psi and fuel pressure should be around 44psi. Call your kit manufacturer unless you have NX kit. If so I can give you the jet sizes.

HP Nitrous Fuel
35 31 18
50 35 20
75 41 24
100 52 28
125 56 33
150 62 38

This is what it says in the manual.

"In stock engine applications and street usage the spark plugs should be at least 2 steps colder than stock. Do not use platinum tip, extended tip or any plug with multiple ground straps or split ground straps. When in doubt about heat range always go one step colder. Never use an extended tip plug in a racing engine."

Are you running a performance computer in it?

ok i got the plug deal. do have a mopar PCM, what dose that change exactly? like i said i got some engine light problems right nwo that i need to take care of but once i get that taken care of im pretty much good to go right? i also have an M1 and other mods in my sig.VVV

I would bet the MP PCM is causing your problems. It is probably making it run too rich and throwing a code. Put the stock one back on and see if things get better. You can go to AutoZone to have them pull OBD II codes for you.

Juice on the MP PCM is fine. One step colder in the plugs should be just fine. Just make sure you run a higher octane fuel and you'll be just fine.

i wanted to do that with the stockpcm but i bought the truck with it so i dont have a stock pcm.

now i know why my truck runs rich

The MP PCM just advances the timing slightly. Similar to a Superchips programmer.
It also increases fuel on the WOT fuel map and changes the rev limiter and speed limiter.

Having extra fuel while he's using nitrous isn't a bad thing as long as it's not a ridiculous amount. I highly doubt that the MP PCM is dumping so much fuel in that it's throwing codes.

Maybe not but mine did. would run so rich that I got a code. I believe it was 53 on my OBD I. He said he's getting a code when he floggs it. Just a thought from my experience.

not to jack but does anyone know how much i could run on a 3.9. I'm gonna pull the heads this winter and port and polish them. I was thinking 75?

i would say, its pretty close to the 318 limit. same internals, just 2 cylinders short. (just my opinion, i dont know too much about the whole inner workings about it, all i know is what it can do and stuff)

i knew about the rev limiter and speed limiter. and i knew it did somthing with timeing or fuel but i guess it does both of those. i have a full check engine now that wont go away. i gotta get it checked out.

oh but i got new tires. ill post a thread and pics in the morning.
