yesterday i took my truck to the dragstrip. And as i came off the line at full throttle the truck just fell on its face, kinda acted like it was sucking to much air in. It would barely bring up the rpms until alittle bit past the 60' mark, then it take off. But once you let off the throttle and got back on it, it seemed to want to start to run fine. I dont know whats going on with this thing, but if someone out there might know whats wrong please help me out.

thanks

Is it the Mopar/K&N FIPK, or an open element?? If it's an open element, it's probably because it's sucking in nothing but hot air right off the line and killing the power. Also, how were you launching?? From idle, 1200RPM, higher???

Its an open element. I launched both off the idle and bringing up the rpms, from the start. The weird thing is, is that we was able to have it not fall on its face once, and then it just done it again.

the air cleaner sucking hot air wont make it do that.....i have tested that theory myself

i would give the truck an ingnition tune up and see if the problem remains....check your fuel sync too

couldnt hurt to get a scanner on it and see if it shows anything funny......otherwise your shootin in the dark really
