Alright, im running low on funds right now, but the stock tailpipe is an ugly poo brown, so I want to get a chrome exhaust tip for now. Whats the best kind? Are they easy to put on? And along with better looks, will it make the exhaust sound louder and more rumbly?

A tip is not going to make it sould any louder, but it will dress it up. I had a Gibson bolt on tip on my stock pipe when I had it on the truck and it looked good. it was $50.00 from www.summitracing.com but worth the money.

Here's what mine look like. Dont know what kind or what diameter they are, but they are rolled lip tips whick look better IMO.

And I was under the impression that the flared tips do make it sound better. Isnt that why all the ricers have like 5" fart cannon tips?? Anyone?

Muah hahahaha......Little pupper.....Even smaller than mine, and no, Tips wont to anything....Thats a resonator of sorts that little fart racers have

The Gibson one's just have a bolt on the top that you sung down after you slide it over the pipe. I cut the end off my pipe the tip did not stick out past the body, but after the cut was made it took like 2 min's to install. The stock pipe is 2.5 OD so just get the 2.5 inlet tip and it will slide over the pipe.

Look, if you are low on funds, just walk into any auto parts store and you can pick up and number of tips that simply have a set screw to hold it on the pipe.

Sure the best would be to get a stainless steel tip welded on but for the way you sound, it would not be worth doing all that. Summit Racing has their own brand of stanless tips very cheap.
