The steering column pod for the 02-05 Ram works perfectly on my 05 Dakota. Not sure if they are interchangeable on the earlier years. You might go to a Dodge dealer and take a look at at the steering column to see if the Ram's match up with yours. On the pillar pod, I got the universal one from Glowshift, used a heat gun to form it, then used plastic ashesive to glue it on. I had a body shop blend it in then I textured and painted it. I think it came out O.K.

Are the dakota and ram steering collums the same? Would a ram steering pod work?

One for a 94-01 Ram will work.
