What kinda e-fans are you guys running that keep you cool? In the s-10 world, the Ford Taurus fan, and the LS-1 f-body fans were very popular because they required very little trimming to fit and covered the entire core.
Also, on a 98, can a tuning program be used to go into the PCM and turn on the e-fan outputs and set them up? On most later GM's you could because they all used the same PCM just different programming, the pinouts were the same, with something like HPTuners, and 20 minutes, you could go in, turn the fans on, set them how you wanted them, then wire them up. Will I be so lucky here? lol

im runnin a ford fan, quite a few otehrs are, some flexalites, replacement jeep fans etc

far as the tunning only sct offers it, it can be tuned for the fan to come on sooner
and that can't be done with a handle held device either i assume? You gotta actually have the software on a computer?

Ah gotcha, thought you were speaking of their tuning software.
I've been keeping an eye on HPTuners forum, 3 of my friends have HP and get the yearly updates, supposedly HP is going to be releasing software and support for the NGC3 PCM in the next month or so, and then they are tackling the JTEC PCM, and expecting that to only take months to release. So if that can happen, I can buy credits, and use a friends software on my computer and I'll go that route so I can also tune the truck, just minor tuning for now. smoothing VE tables, ignition tables, fuel tables, all that, then dive into fine tuning it, and when I do a M1 and headers, and whatever else I conger up, I can tune it for those upgrades :D. At least that's the plan. For now I might look into a SCT. Has anyone dyno'd their truck after applying the SCT program? I have seen many instances where programmers have made no difference, or actually taken power from the vehicle.
