i apologize if this has been answered before (i did do a search but couldnt find the specific answer im looking for) heak i might have already asked this in another post a while back...
anyways, ive got a 2002 reg cab dakota with a 60/40 bench and i was wondering which years will a center console fit for my ride?

01 to 04, have to grind the rivets off the center seat to separate it since its all in one piece.

Yea you need one out of a 5 speed.

not sure if the 01-04 has one or not but my 00 has a bracket that connects between back bolts to the seats that i had to put since the 00 is not like the 97-99 that mount to the floor you might need to make sure you get that backet for the console to attatch to if the newer ones use it.

My 03 does not use any type of brackets, straight to the floor.

ive already taken the cab interior nearly completely apart about a year ago thanks to a leaking a/c drain pipe...(Fabulous dodge engineering i might add) and i dont recall what your describing

You are talking about how the center seat is riveted to the to main seats. You don't reuse any of those brackets, you simply self tap screw it to the floor where you see the indention's under the carpet. Did it on my old 2000.

It might just be on the 2000 dakota on mine when I put mine in it needed a bracket that went under the console. I have an extra console and bracket and will try to get a pic of it. since I needed it I thought the newer ones used it as well. i still have the jump seat and left that bracket under it

sorry for the late reply but ive been pretty busy the last 3 weeks and forgot to check this thread
my 60/40 bench has rivets connecting the 2 seats to the middle seat/armrest as well
now if only i could find a center console for a manual transmission (sigh)

the hardest part is finding the console :jester: good luck.. took me 2 years to find it ( i was pissy about price thou didnt want ot pay over 100 bucks for it)

yeah, i live near a HUGE salvage yard in pascagoula full of vehicles from katrina and believe it or not, they have very few parts for my ride...go figure

I want a center console in my '04 quad cab

If you have an extra console that you don't need, I'd like to look into buying it from you. I have an '04 quad cab automatic transmission. Will yours fit mine?
