What year trucks came with the three cat system and which years came with the one cat systems? i ask this because my truck is an 02 and has one large cat about under the passengers seat and i've seen both 01 and 03 dakota's with the three cat system. So what is the logic to this or is it completly random. Or does it have to do with where the vehicle was made? I'm talking about the 4.7 engine because that is the engine that I have and the two trucks that i have seen have those engines, I don't know if that makes a difference.

My '00 durango has one cat under the passenger seat also.

Yeha my 02 just has one cat and my 04 has two. I think part of it iw where there made
