Heys guys, ok, I got in contact with some people all day at the shop. :banana2:

the molds the guy has are useless he says(altough I think he is just not bothered because his company just does truck modifications for ambulançe fleets/funeral cars and that type of stuff now) and that moves more money.

I know someone who knows someone who has it...............AND, its not painted YET! So my idea was to make a mold of his, however, as you guys have said, there are a couple of flaws in the design, like the steps and the flares. I can and will, if theres interest from you guys for them, I have a Dakota so its a simple matter taking my bed off and Molding it, 2 week job. It would be all fiberglass, tailgate and all. but then there are options, like.....

Make it with shaved handle?
Bumper or fiberglass rollpan?
One piece everything? as in, rollpan molded in?
If one piece, make the tailgate built in to or would you guys like to still have it be functional?(open close)
build it flush tonneau cover?
Frenched taillights? Caddy Tails? Stock Tails?

heres a truck I did some repair and some mods to( I did'nt make it, the guy crashed it and wanted some custom work done to it, so I did that and painted, so i am plenty capable of making it, just a matter of how people would want it. Making 2-3 different designs is a possibility.

We dont have Ford Excursions here, this was once a 2 door truck(yes, no 4 door here either) when it got here it was rear ended, one of the doors were cracked at the lower side, and it had a stock bumper, the whole structer was cracked just after the 2nd door. I put it back together....:drive:

As for the guys who want bumpers, Here there are few body kit manufacturers, so everyone has one-off customs. just PM me with what you have in mind. I am still trying to figure out how I am gonna ship things like this to the US, I mean, I get parts from there very often but never shipped to US. I know its burocratic.

Wow, you're capable man.

Remember that white Dakota I sent you through a PM? Those bumpers will sell like crazy. As well as parts like the bed.

Is there any way you can make fiberglass front fenders?

I think a stepside bed would sell well. Those of you asking what the point is since you have a bed that is "useless" make me laugh since most of the lowered/custom trucks have a bed that is rendered useless. I think stepside beds on sport trucks and "muscle" trucks make them look 10x better-just like the lightning.

How much would one of those go for?

I dont think I could afford a nice bed like that after it plus what it would cost to ship one here but here is what I would prefer

I would want a simple roll pan that would be molded to the bed sides, but for the tailgate to still be able to be opened and closed. No handle on the outside, only on the inside. I would want to keep the stock taillight openings and the stock lines in the tail gate that match them to keep it looking like a stepside could have been a factory option. Also I dont like the running boards that all those guys were using with them so I wouldnt want the roll pan and rear fenders to come down any farther than the stock bed.

If you could make the back of the bed like this, with the rear steps shaved, shave the tailgate but make it where it can open and close, mold in the roll pan, and use the factory tails. I would kill for that!

I think this would be the best look, but I would not cut in any tail lights, let the end user decide what he wants and where. that said I would love to have a bed like that but I cant begin to imagine how expensive it would be to ship.

true shipping sucks

ok guys, made more calls today....

I talked to another place that makes the bed, but they only make the side panels and the tailgate in fiberglass, you have to hack your bed and put them in place, this sounds worse but for shipping ITS GREAT! same results once finished...

I had him email me a catalog, I translated the parts you guys most asked for to english. He has a few different bumpers but from the photos he send, and from what I have seen in the streets, they are basicly splash copies of Xenon and Sniper body kits.... the other bumpers you guys saw were CUSTOM made! Which I will later look into because I can make them myself.

the upseting news is that the step bed sides are priced at 1950 reals, which is like 1200 dollars, no shipping. Let me know what you guys think. :stirthepo

I do plan on making the bumpers if theres interest. priced at around 600 reals for the just the lower valance skirt, o maybe a full bumper cover.

Meanwhile, enjoy pics! search google for a currency converter BR REALS

The green one is pretty cool. The red one in the original post looked good with the oval grille but it needs to be lowered. Way too much wheel well gap.
overall I think theire pretty cool. Shows some real talent IMO.
Some of the paint jobs are pretty sick. I still like the apple green one

ok, since you guys did'nt flame me, here are some more, however these are.....................different.

Some of them are ok, some are just trash-worthy.

The thing is the guys here go over board, they think that a nice car is a car with everything....like, when you're talking to someone you go, what does your car have, he goes, ohh, well audio system, dvd system, HID, body kit, rims, and if someone else has more stuff, them they're car is more equipped.....weird....
I love the way that body kit looks on that amberfire- It's like Brazils version of the sniper kit only improved- the lines are the same- just a meaner approach. I want one really, really bad:mullet:

Lotta cool stuff...I want this guy to make fiberglass front fenders and from bumpers that weight really light!!!

I hate to say it but for that kinda money we could just buy an S10 stepside, hack up our own bed and make it work.
