Ok guys here is my prob i have very little ac lol. during the day it blows warm at night it gets cold like its susposed to. at first the mech told me it was the expansion valve so i changed it and charged it back up same thing. then thought it was the door to change from hot to cold so i took and clamped off the heater cores both front and back and its still the same cool are during the day and cold air at night any more ideas

I think I read this right...you DID recharge it right? that would be the only thing that I can think of...that or a bad compressor...

Do you have rear air? I've got a 99 with rear air and its only supposed to hold 2lb of r134, and you stated you have 2.44lbs. You might have it overcharged. What are your pressures? Duct temp?

Also... while the system was open, did you change your accumulator? If not, it wouldn't have been a bad idea.

according to the label on the truck with rear air is susposed to have 2.44lbs yes i do have rear air. no i did not change the filter drier and am wondering if it could be the problem my pressures were 55 on the low and 255 on the high i was told this was a little high on both sides

yeah that sounds a bit high. I'd go ahead and change the drier/accumulator and see where you're at. I had to my ac recently (bad compressor) and I replaced the drier while I was in there. I don't remember exactly what my pressures are(35 low, 190 high i think) but my vents are always 20 degrees cooler than ambient, which is the ideal from what I've been told.
