Yesterday while driving I lost the speedo, power windows and the air bag & ABS light can on in basically that order.

I checked the fuses and they are good, any common issues or ideas as to what to check next?

Thank you.

All those are fed off the ignition switch, A22 circuit. From the battery it goes to fuse 9 in the PDC (under the hood) then through the ignition switch and then to the junction block fuse 2,3,7,18 and 20.

Do you have a tilt wheel? It could be a broken lead in the column. It could also be a bad switch.

Double check fuse 9 in the PDC. Then at the ignition switch check for power on pin #4 (feed - pink with black tracer) and pin #5, (switched ouput - black with orange tracer.)

A yes to the tilt wheel.

I will give those a look, thank you for the reply.

Edit!:)
Fuse 9 is good, 2,3,7 have no power KOEO, tomorrow when it's light out I will dig deeper & check the IS leads like you said above.

I had a broken wire in my tilt column in my 03 Dakota that gave my the same symtoms you are having. I also lost my HVAC fan IIRC
That's what its lookin like, I got the column apart and wiggled the wires and the windows & HVAC started working again, then stopped and so did the radio.

I'm gonna give the connector a good once over(looks like it gets a lot of pressure put on the connector) as the wires seem a little loose in there and if that isn't it then I'll chase down the other end of those wires and figure out which ones are junk & replace them.

I did notice that it looks like most of the pressure on the wires is between the where they go into the loom and the IS connector.

This is why I usually set and forget my steering column. Only time I move the tilt is if I need to tilt it down to take dahs bezel off, or up to make more room to get under dash. The constant flexing up and down everytime you get in and out plays hell on wiring.

An update, I pulled the column apart and trouble shot it, what I have found is it's the Ignition Switch itself.

I put it al back together and fired up the truck and no HVAC ect., give the contact area of the IS a pop w/screw driver handle and it all comes back, turn it off & refire it same thing, give it a pop and it works.

So it's off to the parts store for an $80 IS.

Thank you guys for help, it shortened the T/S time.
