Yup. It made no difference at all. The one on the transfer case is right on the tailshaft housing. You'll see it if you have it. Or there might be some kind of a plug in the hole? I only know what mine looks like.

ok so found an axle from a 01 Dodge 2500 the tone ring plug matches perfectly! But the axle is about 5 inches longer so i was thinking about just running 2 inch spacers in the front would that be a bad idea? The other thing is this dana "60" seems so much bigger than the ford 79' 60 the axle tubes are quite a bit bigger, is that normal or could this be a 70? how can i tell the difference between the 60 and 70 from different trucks and years, because they seem so close but the tubes on the dodge one seem way bigger (circumference wise)

Here we go! Getten flexy! realized today my front shocks limit me 6 inches of droop but are perfect for compression, so hopefully I can find some that give me a little more length without having to relocate my upper shock mounts (highter). Also any advice on the mounting of the rear shocks i didnt realize how complicated this process is to get it right. Im thinking of going outboard of the frame because I should have the room with how wide the rear axle is. Should I just go vertical as high as i can mount it and then find a shock that works best for that? Anyway here is one pic of my flex text today the rest are on my fb page. Was about 38 inches off the ground with a couple more inches to go RTI score is about 866 but I ran out of wall so im not for sure yet.

Nice!

Not sure how that mini drag link is going to work for you though, when you droop out your truck does it make your tires turn? I would keep an eye out for a crossover setup if you don't already have a flat top knuckle.

For the rear, best way would be to pull all the leafs from the pack except the main, then cycle the suspension. The closer to vertical you keep the shocks the better they work dampening wise. Are you trying to keep them under the bed or are you going to come through the wheel wells if you outboard them?

So as far as the steering the Hirt bar was a cheap temp idea I have flat top and I even have the crossover mount now so that's the next project. But for the shocks. I'm not goig to go through the bed but my axles are so wide I could make a bracket that mounts inside the wheel well and go straight down to the axle.

Ok so everything was running great until I decided to be a looser and shift hard from first to second. I sheered all the bolts on my pinion yoke on the rear drive shaft cracked the output hosting on the t case, and just realize I also sent a crack down the middle of my transfer case.. So from here, should I get a junk yard case and replace it or are there any fairly easy/cheap t case upgrade for it?
