haha I already tried googling it but I cant even find a website for AAMP. Im not even sure what the "valet" button is. I know what a valet key is but not so sure what it is on the truck. Ill just wait til I get back to Colorado and ill take it in to Car Toys and see what they can tell me. I dont need the keyless entry but it would be nice.
They have a website www.aampofamerica.com, but anything useful is locked in dealer/tech areas.

On an alarm/remote starter, the valet button simply disables the system. On a remote start, you would use it so it didn't accidentally activate while you're working on it for example. On most systems, it is also used to enter programming mode and program certain functions. But on simple systems they might use only DIP switches and 'cut loops', since there isn't much to set.

Seriously. Go fuck yourself. You of all people should appreciate being talked to like you're dumb because you define the word.

You see, some people actually like to LEARN to do things so they can do them for themselves. If the OP wanted to be a dumb lazy shit like you, he would've just taken it to a store without even asking us how to do it.
wow. You're stupidity is amazing.

Nothing wrong with learning.. but not even YOU can help him out. Unless you have a model number, product name, ect, how the hell can you find out any information about it??

Clearly he already looked for any type of supporting information.. and you have him going on a goose hunt for nothing.

At least taking it into a shop or two MAY lead him into knowing what he has installed. Doesn't mean he has to fork out money right then and there to add to it, or get info. He can get information, if they know anything, and go from there.

Someone who deals with car alarms and remote start systems will know more than someone who works on computers for a living in a flooded IT market.

Now sit.

You really need to get your fucking head bashed in with a shovel, you stupid piece of shit. You have no idea what my background is, you have no idea what I used to do as hobbies, and you have no idea what I'm capable of. Just because I do computers NOW doesn't mean I haven't done my share of other shit. I know what I'm talking about here, just like I know what I'm talking about in all the other threads that I make you look stupid in. On this board, "Take it to a shop" is NOT the answer people are looking for. OK? Bite shit and go back to 4th grade where you belong.

Now if the OP would care to 'jump through another hoop', most RS brains are stamped on the circuit board itself. Usually there's a few screws holding the case closed, or it might even pop open. But it would be on there somewhere. But I wouldn't want you to strain yourself, so only if you think you can handle it.

holy shit dude. Calm down.. we already know you're not capable of much - clearly. I'm intrigued as to why a grown ass man gets so upset over stupid shit. Just walk away if you can't handle it.

To the OP, yes, take the brain apart. It's a circuit board just like a computer. I will probably say INTEL on it :D

Seriously though, do as you wish. Just make sure you put it all back together correctly because you may just throw a setting off and be unable to remote start that sucker! And with no manual (except Taz, he'll tell you what to do) you may just be shit outta luck.

Why do I get upset? Because you are a drag on humanity's collective IQ. The fact that you'll eventually find someone equally dumb to let you stick your dick in them means it'll get even worse as you spawn more idiots.

The brain IS a circuit board. A single board with the connectors on it and some components, all soldered in place and nothing to mess up. And umm, it's pretty tough to mess up settings when there's all of FOUR of them. Just note the positions of the switches. See it's not all that complicated. And I bet the OP is willing to give it a try. Makes him smarter than you.

Wow. Only you could take something out of context to make yourself look like someone you're not.

I'm just glad I get a rise out of you. You do make for a fun conversation.
:woot:

Bro, i did a remote start/keyless entry/alarm on my truck in 2 hrs..... With no prior knowledge of how to install it........

P.s.......buy my rims.....LOL
