Top Speeds???

just woundering what you guys have had the trucks up to???
i had my dakota at 115 before it started getting squirley... the front end wasn't great on it :drive:
but recently i was racing a mustang 5.0 fox body in my charger and even though i already beat him i decided to show off and keep going, looking down i noticed i was doin 145mph!!! which was just awesome cuz my dakota never came close to that, slowin down was sad though 90 felt like 40 haha :mullet:

so what have you guys done, after that i am interested to see what everyone is up to, in the trucks or whatever

117 in the r/t. Speed limiter, so I had to coast down a hill. :repost: someone had a 7 page thread about this btw

I've done about 80. My town is crawling with cops, so I try not to push my luck. haha

128 radar verified with just a ported stock TB, CAI, and Mopar PCM. I know I've gone faster than that since then(based on RPMS), but speedo only goes to 120 so hard to say what actual speed was. Oh, and once I get over 100 in my truck it just settles down. No floating feeling at all. I've had my Charger(just a V6) up to 120 as well coming home the night we had our house fire.

got pulled over by a state boy in my dak for doing 140mph....i asked to see the radar, it said 136mph.....he gave me a warning because he said he didnt think my truck would go that fast...lol

LOL! Thats awesome.


I had my 2000 R/T up to about 144mph i was racing Chevy SS ado we topped them out on the freeway.

so far the 2001 has gotten up to 128mph with just the SCT tune, and a 52mm tb.

Gps said 111mph in my 2.5 lol, ran out of room it was still going.

state cops around here are assholes. One of them treated me like I just robbed a damn bank because I forgot to turn my headlights on at night in a very well lit area where it was difficult for me to notice.

I dunno 125mph in my Gen1 I ran out of shutdown area at the Strip and only pulling 4500rpm in 3rd gear kinda of hard to judge speed with a 85 mph Speedo pegged out. Truck is plenty stable at that speed

i was told i was doing 145 when my buddy almost touched my back bumper with his car..

he was in a 1992 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD...

123 the other night, done more before but I have proof of 123 on my gps lol.

My truck feels great at that speed

I've gone 120 in my friends 4.7 dakota 5 speed. I believe it stopped because he hit the rev limiter in 5th gear, no clue how far it could've kept going. In my civic i've done about 140 at the top of 5th gear.

In my s2000 i've done 150 mph. It wasn't wiggly or any kind of scary in the s2k, except for the massive amount of road noise.

i hit 110 in mine before i tried to take a slow bend in the highway and i realized wind had lifted my tires...
