Thanks Dwight. Going to go to my local Pull-A-Part tonight and check. Would you know if all the alts used these no matter what engine size? I figure looking at some '98 Daks and Durs.

To the best of my knowledge they do or at least every one of them I've seen has them.

I bought two replacement alts for a 2003 durango 5.9. That year they had a 160amp option which blows our little 130 amp out of the water- Has the same connections also. New from oriellys was only $140ish. I took these apart- I had to desolder the coil terminals but once they were apart I had them polished and clear powder coated and I painted the middle to match my orange powder coat. I like how they turned out. Here are some pics

why do you have two, because of all your audio and electical stuff?

Yes- Need more power to put out power. Been a pain in the ass working out all the kinks.

is that just a normal bracket with a second alt instead of AC?
yeah- I bought two spare brackets to cut/chop/and weld so I could add the second alt. Got rid of the heat and A/C for more power

how does no heat save power?
It saves power by not having the blower but besides that I was able to more power by adding a second alt where the A/C compressor used to be.

If its just a show truck, I guess it doesn't matter, and it does give you more room on the dash since you can delete the hvac controls.....but the blower motor doesn't draw power when its turned off.
