They will look identical. They're replicas. As far as pictures are concerned it doesn't get any better than that.

He actually improved the design. Made the gap closer to the fender flares, different mounting, different material also.

Yes but for someone wanting installed pictures of painted skirts none of that will be seen (and the mounting is the same). Dwight's picture should be more than sufficient to represent what the finished product will provide considering there are not many photos of these things floating around.

Very true on ALL those accounts Jason. I have made minor changes but for the most part they are unseen when mounted. I also plan to change the "unseen" design even more the next time I make the molds and I'm sure every time thereafter I have to remake the molds. They will get better and so will the reduction of time that I have to spend on them when I pull them out of the molds. Right now it is killing me labor-wise which is taking a toll on my time taking care of other things outside of making these skirts. It is not something I'd recommend to anyone else that has a life but I'm determined to make all those that order a set happy with what they get.

I'm including an invoice with the sets when I ship that includes the following within the Notes section of it:

COMMENTS OR SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
Pre-mount skirts for fitment and adjust ends if needed prior to paint. Additional sanding will be required to prep for paint. Provided self-tapping screws are recommended to be used for mounting with the outer-most screws being fastened as close to the ends as possible. Evenly space remaining screws. Do NOT rely upon the skirt edge to align with your vehicle’s pinch-weld as the width of that edge will vary from one skirt to the next. Instead, align skirts to the outer edge of the vehicle as it suits you. Recommend two people assist with mounting to ensure proper alignment.

Ensure a flex agent is added to the paint as the skirts will have some flexibility.

Please inform me of any problems you wish for me to address with the skirts within 30 days of receipt and I will take care of them ASAP at no cost to you. Consider this the “Discrepancy Period”.

The skirt pieces also carry a one year unconditional replacement plan for any two pieces. Simply return the piece(s) needing replacement at your own expense and I’ll send you a replacement ASAP. This plan starts after the 30 day discrepancy period has ended.

Will most likely ship the remaining two RC skirts ordered tomorrow.

so have all the club cab parts shipped?
Not yet, my apologies. I'm having to spend more time on the prep with them then expected and admittedly the CC pieces require the most attention to detail compared to the RC sets. Getting them up to par with the RC sets with this round of molds is challenging but doable..just more time consuming. Not much longer before they ship though as I've already done the majority of prep needed to them.

no problem - understand I am not in a rush
the post just read like they were shipped

:waiting:

Got some feedback from the RC and CC sets that were sent out this week that I'd like to share with you all and of which I'm going to act upon ASAP.

The RC set I sent out had one piece that was received broken which is puzzling to me as that piece is the strongest made piece of the set. I'm awaiting pics to help aid in ensuring no stress points exist or packaging is lacking. Until then I have to chalk this up as a fluke chance of happening. I have sent a replacement piece which should be in hand today so as to not hold up him going to paint any longer. Other pieces in the set received a thumbs up to include a mockup install.

EDIT: Some confusion existed on which piece was broken when the box arrived. It was actually one ot the cab skirts so I'm redoing them for him with what urethane I have left. Much thicker and stronger next time.

The CC set I sent out had one of the cab pieces actually break in half during install where I extended the mold length to fit the extra length of the CC's cab. The solution for this issue is to double or even triple the thickness of the cab pieces which I will do for his replacement pieces as well as all other CCs and future cab pieces of all makes and models. Having said that, I will order more urethane today to remake those CC pieces that I have already made but have not yet shipped to others. This new batch of urethane will be the much faster curing type so it should not delay shipping them much longer. I will NOT be increasing the cost of the skirts to cover the additional urethane needs although future discount offerings will be scarce.

:waiting:i sure hope these are done in time for me to have then on for the chicagoland mopar meet in may. thanks for the update:wave:

UPDATE: Just followed up with the urethane order and was told this faster curing stuff is on backorder. Expected to be shipped next week so I'm unable to remake the cab skirt pieces until the order arrives. Sorry guys.

On a brighter note, I barely had enough of the original urethane left to remake the inferior pieces for Bob's set but it was enough. The revised pieces are much thicker and sturdier than the first batch. So much so that I'm sure you could break Chuck Norris's legs with them if you had to without fear of them breaking. I'm finishing up the prep on them today and will ship them to him today as well for these are holding up his paint job severely. He should have them in his hands tomorrow or Thursday the latest depending on how soon I can get to FedEx today.

BTW...I also ordered extra mold materials so that I can make a full set in one pouring vice having to wait for a mold to be available again for the remaining piece. That is also of the faster curing type as well. It's getting better and better every time I touch these so at least that's a good thing. If I weren't so upside down on making this first batch I'd offer an even greater discount to those that got into the first buy. It would be the least I could do to make up for all the waiting those guys are doing. Again, many thanks to those for your patience and understanding.

Finally got more urethane today so I'll pick back up on remaking the cab pieces tomorrow. Should go a lot faster now.
sweet. the sooner the better.

I think I want my set now...
