I have a 408 in my truck and i already want more. I am running a 52 mm TB (i know its too small) so i want a 55. But i am also running 24lb fuel injectors, are these big enough? Also, im not sure on the specific grind of my cam but its somewhere around .525 lift. I wish i would have went bigger already. I'll look at my cam card tonight. Should i go with a bigger cam, maybe 1.7 rockers?

Step up to the 58mm and the 1.7 rockers, probably 30lbs injectors as well (to start you'll want more later)

unless Im completely wrong in my assessment and understanding on 408s

you'll need to upgrade the injectors (i think) with the 55mm fastman (modified stock TB housing) being $350? and 1000cfm and the 58mm F&B (fully machined from billet)being $507 at 1200cfm(F&B doesn't offer a 55mm)

from what I have read the people running the 58mm are pushing over 500 hp with about 1200cfm. hotrod and carcraft both made over well 600 with 1500cfm (dual carbs)

again how fast do you want to go?

F&B has the 52x55 MM which most people just call the F&B 55mm. And there is more to throttle body design than just bore size. I wouldn't put any Fastman TB on the same playing feild as an equivalent size F&B TB as far as performance.

Well he only said 55mm.... sorry

yea i dont think comparing the 2 was fair but if he wanted a 2bbl 55mm tb then the fastman is the one he would get (i think) and I still think he might as well just get the big one and be done with it cause next fall he will be wanting the 58mm :D

now the question is does he have a 4bbl M1or a 2bbl?

Why would the 55mm fastman be the one he would get with a 2bbl M1?? You want the best performance, or just best price?? There is a difference. And as far as injectors, I don't have a 408, but with the 2bbl M1 F&B 52x55 TB, SCT, Edelbrock heads, higher compression pistons, PPH headers, bigger cam, 1.6 rockers, I'm running the stock injectors and Sean has actually had to pull fuel on my tune.

I have every mod bolt in/on known to mankind...On a stock block 360.

Sean is having to pull fuel on my 24's.

I'm tempted to plug in my 21's and see what happens.

Yeah, which is what the stockers are 21lb injectors. I actually bought some 25lb injectors expecting that I would need more fuel. Now they sit on a shelf in my garage.

I actually have some 21's, not the 19's that vary according to fuel pressure.
Does that mean they are actually 24's, and my 24's are 27's?????

Damn, is this fuel injector thing confusing or what?

Im missing something here......

the F&B 55mm is actually a 52x55 4bbl TB ... How would that fit on a 2bbl intake?
