Im in the market for a new tat and Ive allways wanted a memorial tattoo for my grandfather. His dad worked for ford and built Model As and that was his heart and soul. For any of the artists here, do you think you could draw me up something cool? Thanks guys

Let me give you some advice. While there are undoubtedly some good artists on this site, tattoo art is unique in layout and presentation. I like your idea, but what you need to do is look around and find a tatto artists who's work you like. Speak with the artist and give him your ideas, where you want the tat, and so forth. This method will ensure that you not only end up with a good tattoo, but one that you can be proud of. Most good artists will not use someone elses work and like I said, these guys are pros and know the in's and out's of this style of art. You wouldn't hire a home painter to airbrush your truck would you? It's the same thing here. Stick with someone who does this for a living and your tattoo will reflect the quality and commitment that goes along with it. Oh, and post pics...

Here are some of mine. First is a memorial for my first son who died at birth.

This is a portrait of my daugher when she was about 6 months old.

another shot

And this one is just plain stupid, I was about 15 years old, I used to have lots of girls in my life sos all my friends called me shorty the pimp.

Yea So I get to be a guinea pig on Friday. Anyone ever have a tattoo done on an air compressor system instead of electricityy? Should be interesting. I will post up results.

Well Got it done. Definetly different. Sounds more like a dentisits drill then a tattoo machine. It however weighs so little that for the artist, it is like usintg a pen.Beatiful linework. The machine itself moves at a higher rate, Of speed then a tradition machine. It burns more then a traditional machine because of this. All in all, it is definetly an improvement and worth the little extra burning for the resulting work. I will take some pics when I can charge my camera.

I would think that the increased speed would tear up the skin a bit. Does he have to move a little quicker because of this?

ive heard that the biggest improvment over a traditional setup is the shading turns out better and there can be better detail. thats just what ive heard so dont take my word on it.

I can attest to that. My artist said that it was like he was drawing with a pen cause it is so much lighter. I tried to get pics up, wouldnt let me so I gave up. I will try again sooner or later.

My tat right after it was done, its been almost a year now, the tat was done after my crazy motorcycle accident, i knew someone was looking out for me.
