Needless to say.. The 90 degree elbow coming out of the top of my valve cover going to the intake tube on my supercharger is letting a LOT of oil blow out of the BOV. Soo.. Add a catch can, or cap off all of the valve cover ports (4).

thanks, that's the info I needed. But JEEEZE, this is a lot of oil or so it appears. The WHOLE passanger side of my engine bay is covered in oil. At the rate of (40) miles which I drove today, I am going to be adding a qrt of oil a week just to cover my loss. What about putting filter/vents on the valve covers? Any advantage or disadvantage over the catch can?

I run a filter on one side and a PCV valve on the other. But i don't run boost with blowby pressurizing the crankcase. If you are using that much oil on blowby alone then you have some serious problems. When was the last time you did a compression/leakdown test??

never since the motor had a new set of pistons/rings put in it. If it matters, there is only one open port on the valve covers, and that is the one going to the intake tube on the supercharger.

hook up a water catcher for a air pump to it, after so long you can unhook the bottle and pour the oil back in plus you can see if the oil is ever gettin to dark -oil change-
just asking because visually, the images look like the elbow fittings are much smaller than the 90 degree fitting on my valve cover at the moment.

im in the same place. right now i have 2 little filters on mine, one i have connected to the pcv. but i also want to get a catch can just havn;t found one i like.

I run a breather box that's originally made for VWs. It vents both valve covers, but is high enough so that the oil that goes into the breather box when in boost, can run back into the valve covers when it's not.

I need to mill the BugPaclogo off the top of it, so it's not so obvious that it's for a VW. (Upper right corner of this pic)

thank you sir for that. i know what im using now. does yours have a foam filter in it?

one more thing where do all 3 hose's go? valve cover , valve cover , ?

Yes. I leave the foam filter inside.

Left hose to passenger side valve cover, center hose to PCV valve, right hose to driver's side valve cover. The "oiled" foam filter in the breather box acts as an air filter of sorts for the air sucked in by the PCV valve. I generally remove the top of the breather box, and clean the foam filter with every oil change.

Wow, my engine pic looks like crap. I need to take some new pics. The engine compartment is all clean now with a bunch of the hoses and wiring crap moved, removed or covered.

isn't your pcv valve on your valve cover?
