Ive been a tech at an independant shop for around three years now, im 20 years old so that explains only three years. Il never forget my first week there, had to put a tranny in a dodge stratus... lol..

Im not a mechanic by any stretch of the imagination, but I do know where the blinker fluid is located.:jester::sorry:

I'm a Mercedes tech. Been working on cars since I was about 14. Like it much more as a hobby than a profession.

All-sorts-of-mechanic here. Started in the Navy, semi-changed into water purification (medical, pharmacudical, microelectronic, and industrial) for a little while, then went back to turning wrenches for inudstrial equiment, now I'm back to building engines and packages (gas compression, pumps, generators, etc). I probably overhaul more engines in 3 months than most mechanics do in a year. LOL
Well, I saw this topic was active again, so I figured I'd update mine as it's no longer entirely accurate. A week from this coming Thursday, I start my job as Rebuild Shop Supervisor for the local Caterpillar.
:woot:

Been in the Navy for 12 years, last four as basically a Helicopter mechanic. But I have done 90% of the work on my truck. I grew up working on my own vehicles and the local "shade tree" mechanic was a friend of the family.
