You could go up to a 285 wide on a stock 9" R/T wheel. If you want to keep the price down and since you are dropped you can get away with a small sidewall.

Anything 40 and under for a sidewall will be cheaper because once you get into 45,50,55 they classify those are truck/SUV tires which are generally more expensive. This is from what I have seen since I am in the market for new tires as well, but I am at stock height on my R/T.

with a lowered R/T, go with 255/50/17. One inch shorter than stock, and the factory size for the '94-'96 IMpalla SS's so there are plenty of options and several under or right around $100 each. Why Dodge insists on using oddball sizes of tires on all of it's vehicles I will never understand.

I have toyo proxes st's on mine 255/60/17 and the cost me $255 mounted and balanced for 2, $480 for 4. My truck is factory height, and those sizes are equivalent to a 29 inch tire or so.
