1999 dodge dakota. Im byeing a 3inch performance asseceries body lift off from summitracing.com
And i was wondering why it dont come with the rear bumper brackets? But for the 02 style body lift they come with one i dont get it?

dont buy it from summit.... get it from ebay you will pay like 100 less.... mine shipped off ebay was 240... louiville4x4 is the seller i got mine from

hahahaha so true. instinct automatically tells you that if there's parts left over, you effed up somewhere :nana:
not always true.. i think the PA kits include a few extra bolts and spacers... i know the kit i got for my 00 reg cab have two extar long bolts and 2 extra spacers....

on secong thought my truck kinda leans to the side now... maybe i should go look at it again lol j/k

with 57 posts and only bein on here what like three months, why do you really care, many of people on here have body lifts
You're right man, I only have 57 posts and I've only been here three months. This is proof that I know absolutely nothing about mopars and have no mechanical knowledge. I'm glad you solved that mystery.

is that a serious question? who do you think you are? maybe they just want one? you come to a website about aftermarket parts and help about a truck, and then you ask a dumbass question like that? jackass.
Of course it's a serious question. Any normal gear head knows that body lifts are for sissies. What is the purpse of them? Hinder your vehicles abilities, make it more unsafe, just to get people to look at you when you drive by? Must be a sad life if that's where your priorities are.

personally I think your an idiot. HUNDREDS of people do body lifts. hinder your vehicles abilities? tell me how. make it more unsafe? again, please tell me how. people put on body lifts to put on bigger tires. maybe they enjoy driving on some powerlines or around the farm. its their truck and they can do whatever the hell they want. not everyone is going to invest in a multi-thousand dollar suspension lift just to cruise around on the dirt. maybe its YOUR priorites that need a reality check instead of questioning why people do what they do. again, jackass.

Sure it lifts the center of gravity, and makes the frame more flexable. Heck, I can see my bed flex while driving down the road in the mirror. If installed correctly, it is just as safe(however bumpers are not as strong for impact). Besides safety, Like i said in the tires forum :flippy: :jester:

sodakmopar where are pics of your prized beauty anyway, your all talk and no show!

1998 dakota 5.2L auto 4x4. Well i just went and picked up my 3inch perofrmance acceseries body lift, And is there anything i should look out for or any tech neaks to doing it? I plan on, putting it in tomaro night. I just got done reading the dirrection's in doing it. A couple thing i was wondering about is it said that i have to take my 4x4 shaft out and put an extention on it? And take my seats out and middle console out for some reason? and drew new holes in my frame and my rear bumper brackets? but some people told my just to flip the bumper brackets around? But any suggesttion or help would be so great thanks.
