N2O does not change compression whatsoever. It does build up a shit ton of heat, which is why you have to retard your timing or get slightly better fuel or both in my case.:funny:

Kind of. They work hand in hand, though. Typically if you're using a power adder (i.e. turbo, SC, or nitrous) you lower the compression ratio to get a lower base cylinder pressure to make up for what you're adding with the forced induction.

You can get away with higher compression using nitrous, but you should have a forged bottom end, and be prepared to run race gas and a timing retard to prevent detonation.

little update... Rhoads never sent a new lifter so I just put the one I had back together. I could have from the begining but I was hesitant since I had never done it before. Ended up getting the other head on and testing out the oil cooler adaptor. Turns the adaptor doesnt work so I have to find another one. Final measurement on pushrods came out to 7.05".

If I'm running I would make the trip,Turbo can car pool with me in the durango towing the R/T on a trailor.Also 800rwhp cobra's make me LOL I hear that shit atleast once a month here and they get SCHOOLED! I should be up and running again by late July Early August.
