I have delt with already, am im 14 and could kick your ass, NOONE here has $2500 to insure a truck, and before you say,"get a job and make payments on it" I cant because I have no credit yet I have to pay it full, so I would like to see you hand them $2500 right then and there.

kid... in the adult world 2500 to insure the truck is not that much from what ive seen. u need to grow up. and obviously u don't know anything about insurance........ payments u can have debited from your bank account. so having credit has nothing to do with having a job and nothing to do with being able to make payments for insurance.... are u even old enough to have a license. whats the age limit in the states.?

How are you determining they are "as high as they can get" or what are you using as a reference? Are the control arms against the upper bump stops?

Are there blocks, add-a-leaf or anything else in the rear? Tightening the torsion bars fully will raise the front almost two inches. Unless something was done in the rear, it would be pretty obvious if the front was two inches higher.

There is no harm associated with tightening the torsion bars to lift it. It is a common method on Daks/Durangos and many have done it dfor many years.
As indicated above, if the front bars are maxed out and nothing was done to the rear, it would be visually obvious that the front was 1-2" higher than the rear.

All of these quotes about it being noticeable...Take a look at all my pics...Im maxed...and ya cant tell

How does insurance affect moving the vehicle? You are asking questions that cannot be answered until you move it and you do not need insurance to simply move it.

Why are you getting an expensive Optima when money is a problem? Just take it down to an auto parts store and they will charge and test it. It may not even be bad. Buy an inexpensive battery. You are not driving it anyway or simply borrow any battery from a friends/family so you can start the the damn vehicle and move it so you can stop wasting our time trying to help you.

Errrrrrrrrr.........35-2 are you agreeing or disagreeing? Did you lift the rear at all?

yes I do because to move it onto level ground would reguire me to park it on the street, and without insurence it would get towed.

its the factory battery so its time for an upgrade, and im going with an optima because I can get one for the price of an inexpensive one.

see......... we didn't say leave it there!!!!!!! just move it for 5 mins while u measure and then put it back! geezus... seriously u shouldn't be doing anything to the truck if u can't just make common sense decisions.
anyway im done with this thread

t move it I have to go around the block, and out street is notoriuos with street races, because ita a straight road thats a 1/4 mile long so there ALWAYS a cop around

a cop isn't going to charge u for 5 mins while measuring..ur clueless kid. ............ YOU have an excuse for everything!! omg lol. tell your parents to please purchase u that other car so maybe u'll join that forum and leave here. go take some shop classes and in a few years then start think'n about work'n on cars. now im done...and hopefully u are as well with this thread

tell her to buy u another car and get rid of the truck is what i ment so your not wasting peoples time here. u ask questions and don't even think of a solution before u ask it. no research and then when provided the answeres u come up with lame far fetched excuses as to why u can't do them. again grow up. bye.

All I asked was if this would hurt the truck, then YOU guys come in with all this shit, so you should go fuck up another forum and leave this one .

Didnt lift it any at all...FRONT only and its not noticeable...
Ok if so, I stand corrected. I can't comment on the Dakota 4x4. What is the stock stance of the Dak 4x4? Is it level or does it have front rake?

I know on the 4x4 Durango (which mine is), in stock configuration, the front is lower but not 2" lower than the rear. Early on, there were people who wanted to get rid of the rake an cranked the torsion bars to level it. If it was raised up 2", it would be noticeable. From what I see in all the Durango T/S lift posts adding 2" shackles in the rear and maxing the torsion bars, gives you a fairly level look.

You have got to be kidding me.

- Ok, racing and cops are 24/7?
- Doubtful anyone would have an issue if you or anyone were stopped if you indicated it was just being moved to work on it.
- If you are 14, how the hell would you legally move it on the street much less drive it in the first place?
- What adult is helping you with all of this if you are 14? Who bought the vehicle if youy cannot afford the insurance?
