i spent all the time screwing with the engine harness.
never took the covers off. I could have looked at the picture, and made a 110% correct statement. THe way I worded the sentence, it was an educated guess, in a reply back to danbaps statement of having only 5 holes and ordering new covers.
The problem is that you're guessing, and guessing wrong. If I don't know something, I don't offer an opinion about it. That's the reason that people are constantly flaming you.

Danbaps bought a set of valve covers for an "A" engine, which will work on the magnum motors, but they don't seal as well.

That's a big number. My valve covers don't have that many bolts.
Well then you obviously arent building a KRC race motor!! Last I saw the labor rate just to torque all those bolts was like 20k and change!

We have the technology. We can make them bigger, stronger, and add a couple extra extra bolt holes for the fuck of it:banana2::funny:

You gonna internally balance the motor yourself? or does it not NEED to be done?
The key is to spin the crank on your finger like a basketball and then use your free hand to go at it with some sand paper:banana2::funny:

:forehead:yup thats how we balance motors at the shop:banana2: And then you spin the pistons like a top, and keep sanding off spots till they all stop spinning at the same time:funny:

Your machinist can balance it for you. Its more precise than a factory external because the tolerance is tighter and hopefull the damper is better quality than stock.
internal balncing is easier on the crank too, the added weights on the ends cause some funny bending and twisting sometimes

I finally built one for it. I kept pushing the stock stuff to see how far it would go, but then finally chickened out and pulled it apart before I scattered it and had to find another block. New bullet has all forged internals, internally balanced.

what pistons you running? I was thinking of going the 408 way. I was gonna order some custom pistons for my 318, and figured the pistons and rods are the same price for either one. The only price difference is the crank
