Here are my cometics, they look a little different from your. Mine is a 99 318 block. Im almost positive the heads and block are damn near identical at least on the deck.

Waste of time you would be better off drilling two steam holes between 8-6 and two between 4-2 just like the two between 4-6 on the block now.Then do the same on the other bank.Even then it only helps a little bit which is why I didn't bother on my block.The best thing would be what i did and tap the rear coolant ports at the heads through the intake and run the coolant to the water neck.That REALLY helps with cooling the motor better as the coolant dosent just get stopped at the back of the heads.That is what will greatly help cool the rear cylinders of the motor.

you mean add in a crossover tube in the back of the intake....? i had thought of that option too...wouldnt be hard to do either...

NO! I typed exactly what I meant,I'll get up pics to show you,a cross over tube is a total waste of time for us.

Just run the gaskets the way they are,yours are for magnum heads,the other guys are for LA heads.if you try to run the other ones the rivets will hit between the head and block deck surface and she WILL puke coolant,ask me how I know this :rant:

Just tap you intake as i stated,I'll get the pics up for you on here sometime this week.I still gotta dig up the alt. mod for you too.

You talking about me? Cause the ones I got are for magnum heads and they fit up perfectly.
