I jus installed the Fia Winter grille sheild on my dak and i have to say i am impressed. Truck warms up faster and the heat is considerably hotter. This was an attempt to fix my heat after replacing the water pump, thermostat, flushing the heater core. I didnt want to have to replace the heater core. So i figured i would spend 60 bucks and try this out.

It uses 3M tap to secure the buttons to the grille. For added strength i drilled a small hole and bolted them onto the grille.

Never understood these. The thermostat only opens at a set temperature, so until the engine is at that temperature there is no flow through the radiator. My temperature is always where it should be, -20*F or 30*F, and the heat blows just as hot either way. I think anything noticed is in your head.

This is true, however you still get alot of cold ass air in the engine bay which slows down the warmup cycle. They really do help things warm up quicker and can make a difference in heater temp.

Myself, I just cut out a piece of thin rubber to cover up part of the condenser.

Cardboard also works just fine, though I hit it with some black paint if I have any lying around.
