i think not. i bought it and it said it was the seal for the front cover but it obviously isnt. they need to get there site fixed is all. was curious as to where it goes is all

Is that it at the top of the block?... I thought the larger timing cover gasket sealed that hole up...

Can anyone tell me the life expectancy of the timing chain on the 4.7L? I have 183000 miles on mine.

I would think its time to consider a new timing set... The guides usually become brittle and break down before the chains give up...

Once I'm in there, I might as well replace the chain too...it's not that expensive.
Actually, I won't be doing it myself...I'll get the Dodge boys to do it.
