Just wondering, if I get a V8 throttle body for a V6, do or should I get the V8 intake?

Where have you been?

It has often been declared that a popular or recommended upgrade for Magnum engines is a V8 throttle body, and seeing as the 5.2 and 5.9 throttle body is the same (from the factory), I don't think they were meaning it as an upgrade for V8 engines.

And in any case, the question was about the intake for the throttle body.

The reason from changing filters is because the stockers suck ass and the aftermarkets provide better flow. You don't have to move the location to notice a gain, however, moving the filter closer to the insert of the hood/grill is recommended as you arn't receiving as MUCH warm air from manifold/motor.

uhm.. turboblew is stating a MANIFOLD won't work on a 6cyl. A TB will as the TB mounts to the manifold. An an air filter doesn't matter in any case. A chevy air filter can work on a mopar, or a ford, or a saturn. You mis understood turboblew, an 8cyl manifold with 8 holes won't WORK on a 6cyl block with 6 holes.

So, does that mean that there aren't any reasonable worthwhile intakes for V6s? Stock for stock, a V6 isn't going to need as much air as a V8, but just as V8s can be modded, so can V6s.

Also, would the distance to the front fender area from the throttle body be the same for a V8 and a V6? Meaning is the throttle body the same distance from the radiator support (or any other point that both have in common)?
