I am wondering what tbs fit the 318, that would be readily available from the local junkyard, yet increase performance.....Let me guess, just shoot myself....
no, you cant...and if you do the math...the 2 bbl v-8 tb is actually bigger...I guess what Im tryin to say is can I put a tb from the 4.7 (the larger single bbl) on my 5.2?
chryslers 4.7L tbs came as a 65 or 68mm...I would say it's possible but not worthwhile. The 4.7, 1x70mm, is actually smaller than a 2x50mm 5.2/5.9tb.
2x70mm might be an interesting project.
whats the point...that would flow like a jillion cfm...I would say it's possible but not worthwhile. The 4.7, 1x70mm, is actually smaller than a 2x50mm 5.2/5.9tb.
2x70mm might be an interesting project.
a dual 70mm tb would flow around 1500cfm...i say exspensive, hard to build, hard to mount, and overkill...exactly!!!!!! more air=more fuel=more HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm also looking into a twin turbo setup...I have 2 turbos laying around...why not...
a 2X70 would still be borderline pointless on a 408...wake up man!...I never said it wasnt pointless, and a simple head and crank swap pushes it out to 360...
so basicly you want me to do your bitch work...cant find flow rates, but heres a link to holley's site... http://www.holley.com/112-555.asp
that looks to me to be very similar to the F&B...the blade mounts look pretty good and the bore is similar...the main difference is the idle/vacume check port (not performance issue)cant find flow rates, but heres a link to holley's site... http://www.holley.com/112-555.asp
then get the 2X53 fastman...i couldnt care less what it looks like...gonna be under a billet air hat anyways...i just want performance gains...
My bad, I meant stockers not modified to 70mm. Dual stock 68mm's might be just about right and cost about 1/8 of an F&B. Like I said, this about a project, not about the best way to do something. Maybe even a couple of 62 mm Viper tb's.
Is it a "jillion", 1400cfm, or 1500cfm? That's about as accurate as saying 1x70 instead of 65-68mm.
Everyone has done that. Being different is what it's all about not being one of the sheep. I've never been one to follow. I'll leave that up to you.
